How a Protected Project works

Four steps. No surprises.

TradeOS provides the project, trust, and payment-coordination layer. Licensed financial or escrow partners may hold or transmit funds where required.

  1. 01

    Verify the people

Identity, business, license, insurance, and Trust status are checked before anyone commits money.

  2. 02

    Agree on the plan

Scope, price, milestones, evidence requirements, and approval rights are documented before work begins.

  3. 03

    Protect the money

Project funds are placed with the designated licensed financial partner. The contractor can see funds are available without receiving them early.

  4. 04

Release payment as work is completed

Each milestone is documented, reviewed, and approved. Only then is a payment release instruction issued.

Every milestone carries its own checklist: what is required, who may submit it, and where each item stands.

Illustrative example. Required evidence, permitted submitters, and review steps depend on the signed agreement, jurisdiction, and financial partner requirements. TradeOS documents the record; it does not inspect construction work or guarantee any outcome.

When something goes wrong

One disagreement should not freeze the whole project.

Only the affected release pauses. The disputed milestone and its funds are isolated while the rest of the project keeps its own conditions, evidence, and schedule, where the agreement and the financial partner permit it.

TradeOS coordinates the record. It does not decide the outcome, provide legal advice, or act as an arbitrator.

  1. 1A party pauses the affected payment release.
  2. 2The disputed milestone and funds are isolated.
  3. 3Both parties upload supporting evidence.
  4. 4The project record shows contracts, messages, photos, approvals, and changes.
  5. 5The parties follow the agreed resolution process.
  6. 6Undisputed project activity may continue where permitted.

Protected Project Score

How protected is this project, really?

Toggle the controls a project has in place to see how readiness changes. This is an illustrative indicator, not a rating.

Protected Project Score
85/ 100

11 of 14 project controls are in place.

The Protected Project Score is an informational readiness indicator based on available project controls and verified data. It is not an insurance rating, credit score, guarantee, legal opinion, contractor quality guarantee, or underwriting decision.

Built by operators

Backed by Home Alliance.

TradeOS is built by a company that has run real service and installation work — not by a payments company guessing at how construction projects actually behave.

  • Home Alliance has operated real service and installation work at scale.
  • TradeOS is built by an operator, not by a payments startup guessing at how trade projects work.
  • Protected Projects reflect field reality: change orders, partial completion, inspections, and multi-party crews.
  • Contractor relationships come first — protection is designed to help good contractors win work.
Contractor-led distribution

Protected projects compound.

Contractors are the fastest path to protected work. Every protected project produces documented history that makes the next one easier to win.

  1. 01
    A contractor protects a project

The contractor adds TrustPay to a contract and documents scope, milestones, and evidence.

  2. 02
The homeowner sees a better experience

Clear conditions, documented approvals, and a complete project record.

  3. 03
    Verified history accumulates

Completed protected projects build verified project and payment history on TradeOS.

  4. 04
    More protected work follows

That history supports referrals, repeat work, and stronger Trust standing.

Why contractors offer TrustPay

  • Fewer payment disputes
  • Clear expectations
  • Faster approvals
  • Documented completion
  • Stronger customer confidence
